Bring the stars down from the heavens and into your body! Do you have an interest in astrology? Would you like to correlate it with your chakras and experience it physically? Using sound, breath, and guided meditation, we will explore into, around, and through the symbolism of your natal chart. Listening into what’s alive within you, we will seek to harmonize, balance, and acknowledge what is present. Each session will be attuned to what’s resonant with you at the moment. We will discuss beforehand what elements of sound you’d like to include (vocal toning, singing bowls, tuning forks, drumming, mantra). There will be gentle guided breathwork and guided meditation included along with an intuitive exploration of your natal astrology chart. Whatever form and structure is agreed upon, the experience will be balancing, relaxing, comforting, and rejuvenating.

Ever wonder about all the hubbub surrounding Mercury retrograde? Would you like to look more deeply and consciously into the Mercury retrograde cycle and understand how it relates to your personal Mercury and your natal chart? Would you like to learn how to work with and into each Mercury retrograde cycle, creating a more harmonious flow in your life?

This is the second of the fire element Mercury retrograde cycles of the year and it is occurring in Leo. In this Magic of Mercury series, we’ll cover all the important dates, degrees, and energies of the Mercury retrograde cycle. Along the way, we’ll be discarding the old, recovering the lost, and imagining the new.

The Magic of Mercury Leo Rx Workshop Series combines the foundational astrological information with your personal chart so that you develop an understanding of the patterns, cycles, and processes involved. Each 1 1/2 hour workshop begins with discussion and review of the astrology of the Mercury retrograde cycle. After a short break, we shift gears into an embodying, sonic practice utilizing the sound-based yoga practices of vocal toning, rotation of sound, and chanting of a Mercury mantra. We will also each be creating a mandala or visual representation for a touchstone with the mantra. This entire approach enables us to integrate the information holistically, producing ones own unique experience of the journey.

I was introduced to the work of Gary P. Caton (dreamastrologer.com) and his “Hermetica Triptycha: The Mercury Elemental Year” back in 2018 at the Sky Astrology Conference. Inspired by his extraordinary work, I began following the Mercury Rx cycle and experiencing the process in my personal meditation and intentional practice. Prompted by his suggestions of journaling, imaging, and imagining, I began to attune to Mercury’s journey through the whole Rx period. What became of this attunement has been a deepening of insight into my internal processes and their correlation with external events and symbols. This process is and will continue to be an ongoing experimentation in Mercurial experiencing. With the spirit of discovery in mind, I invite you to join me as we follow Mercury into the element of fire!

Monthly integrative astrology workshops

Integrative Astrology & Sound Healing Classes are opportunities to learn about, connect to, and experience each astrological sign in real time.

In each class, I will provide information on the astrological sign, the sign’s ruling planet, the month’s lunations, and any notable occurrences. We will also delve into the energetic, symbolic, and medical/physical associations, along with correlations to the chakra system.

After we move through the foundational information, we’ll enter into an embodied experience of breath, vocal toning, and chakra balancing through sound. We will learn two planetary mantras associated with each sign and spend some time together experiencing the sounds and energy of these mantras. The class will conclude with a brief silent meditation.

To attune to the energy of the lunations in this Gemini season, I will be offering two 30-minute mantra practices. On May 23rd, we will be celebrating the Gemini/Sagittarius polarity and on June 6th, sink into the now familiar Gemini. (Times of practice TBD)

This online class offers you the opportunity to connect with others, while singing/experiencing in the privacy of your own home soundscape. Each participant is muted during the class, so that you can feel free to truly sing like no one else is listening.

mercury mantra class

For this Mercury Mantra Class, we will begin with a short, easily accessible discussion of Mercury maximum elongation as morning star (exact on May 9th) and its symbolic associations and processes. Then, we will transition into an embodied experience of the planet Mercury. This experience will include grounding, centering, and listening through gently-focused breath work. From the balanced breath, we add soft vocal toning, directed vocal toning & bija mantras. This class will include a brief exploration into the associated mantra - its meaning and some pronunciation cues. After the introduction to the mantra, we will spend time chanting and experiencing the mantra. The class will end with a brief silent meditation to integrate the sonic practice.
