About amy jensen

integrative astrologer, sound & visual artist (BFA), Yoga therapist (E-RYT500, C-IAYT)

I am working my Gemini North Node in this lifetime! From my bio, you can see that I love studying… everything, all the time, always! My higher education began with music and ended up with a BFA in visual arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Noticing patterns, resonance, dissonance, and synchronicity in daily life and larger cycles fills me with a sense of wonder and awe. These synchronous moments are little nods from the Universe, affirming our place within this symphony of experience.

I offer a variety of modalities so each person can choose what they are resonant with at the time. Supporting and encouraging the client to recognize what is resonant to them, reinforces their inner guidance system. I believe that we all know our own answers and what arises in a session is an affirmation of that which you already know in your heart. I enjoy the experience of acting as steadfast supporter, assisting and guiding each person back to themselves – their perfect, whole, and complete essence.

Yoga & Yoga Therapy

I have been teaching yoga since 2002, completing my first certification through the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago in 2003. In 2014, I completed my first yoga therapy training through Spirit of the Lake Yoga. In June 2015, I received a certification of completion from Duke Integrative Medicine for Jim and Kimberly Carson’s Mindful Yoga for Cancer (formerly Yoga of Awareness for Cancer) course. I completed Level 2 of this training through Mindful Yoga Works in 2016. I am a Level 1 i-Rest Teacher and have also completed Level 1 of Sevanti Institute's Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner Training. Adam Gainsburg’s Breath of the Soul Meditation training also informs my heart-centered approach to yoga therapy.

Sound Healing & Nada Yoga

I completed both the 200-hour Sound Healing Certification and 300/500-hour Advanced Teacher Training through the Heart of Sound in 2022. I am extremely excited to continue integrating the use of a variety of sound-based practices into my existing offerings. This training helped me develop structure for the many resonant ideas which have been vibrating throughout my consciousness.

 Astrology

My astrological studies began with the Temple of Kriya Yoga as well. Getting a taste of astrology through the Kriology Program, I went on to complete their Practicing Astrologer, Transits/Progressions, and Esoteric Astrology courses. I received a Certificate in Medieval Astrology from Robert Zoller in 2009. Along the way, my shadow knocked upon the door and I began studying with Steven Forrest. In 2015, I received Level 2 Certification through his Apprenticeship Program. Over the last few years, I have been continuing to expand and deepen my heart-based knowledge and wisdom practice through my studies with Adam Gainsburg (Soulsign Astrology). I was very fortunate to attend the Sky Astrology Conference in July 2018. Gazing up at the actual fabric of the heavens served as a catalyst - broadening my understanding and vision of the potential inherent in each astrology chart.

BFA from MCAD
Creating art is another path which ignites the flame of transformation. The movement of creation from within to without is cathartic, therapeutic, and ecstatic. The revolving operation of unfurling mental and emotional processes into their correlates in image, symbol, form, and color never ceases to amaze me.
